Discover the religious harmony practiced by the multi-cultural community along Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, formerly known as Pitt Street. Historically, there has always been a healthy and varied interaction between these communities of different origins, cultural traditions and faiths. There are four major religious buildings along this street: St George’s Church, Goddess of Mercy Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple and the Kapitan Keling Mosque. From the proximity of these buildings, it is clear that George Town’s varied communities have always shared a healthy respect for different beliefs.Meeting point: Penang Heritage Trust Office (26, Church Street, 10200 George Town, Penang) / Star Pitt Building ( The Star Pitt Street, 15 Lebuh Masjid Kapitan Keling, George Town, Penang)
